The Spice Girls’ apology video took seven takes

Spice GirlsThe Spice Girls' apology video to their fans took a whopping SEVEN takes - because the band couldn't stop arguing.

According to reports, the group - Victoria, Geri, Emma, Mel C & Mel B - argued constantly as they tried to record the YouTube video for fans apologizing for canceling part of the comeback tour.

A source close to the Spice Girls, said: "It's reached a level of no return—the girls are definitely not parting from the tour as friends."

In the special video message, the girls all said that the tour had gone on for much longer than they expected - claiming they missed their families too much to continue.

Denying a rift, 'Sporty Spice' Mel C pretended to punch the others, and said: "And as for the fighting, we hate each other. We love each other! Are you kidding me?"

The source added: "The YouTube video was a total PR stunt to play down the fact they're still fighting.

"They were at each other's throats before and during the recording of the video—it took seven goes to get it right."

The source also claims that there was stiff competition between Geri and Victoria about how to do the video.

The source added to Britain's News of The World newspaper: "Geri had written a poem for the fans but the others thought it was cheesy. Geri was cross because she couldn't have it her way.

"But they weren't having any of it, especially Mel B who's sick of Posh telling everyone what to do."

And then Posh Spice got in huff - wanting to the girls to wear Roberto Cavalli outfits.

The Girls announced last week that they will end their tour on February 26 in Canada, infuriating fans in South Africa, Australia, Argentina, and China by scrapping plans to perform there.

Adds the source: "At one point the rest of the girls told Geri to f*** off because she was annoying them by shouting ‘Girl Power'."

Victoria and Mel C then started to argue - when Posh received flowers from husband David.

The source explained: "Victoria asked Mel C if she had got any flowers from her boyfriend and Mel took it as a dig," adds the source. "She snapped back at Vic saying, ‘I don't need my boyfriend to send me flowers to show me he loves me'."

One person unable to cope with the break-up is Emma 'Baby Spice' Bunton.

The source said: "Emma's very teary because she's so disappointed their revived friendship is falling to pieces."
