Paul McCartney sent Heather Mills caring note on eve of court battle

Heather Mills and Paul McCartneyMusic legend Sir Paul McCartney sent estranged wife Heather Mills a caring note - on the eve of their High Court showdown, it has been revealed.

The former 'Beatle', 65, who will appear at London's High Court for the fifth day of the pair's divorce hearing today, sent Heather, 40, a bunch of flowers and urged her to remain civil for the sake of their four-year-old daughter Beatrice last Sunday.

According to British newspaper The Daily Mirror, the note read: "Please remember you and I are both human and have one very special person in common [Beatrice]. Please let's not forget this when you are in court."

Heather, dubbed Mucca by British tabloids due to her mucky past,  appeared to be feeling the strain of the court battle yesterday.

The former glamor girl, who is representing herself after ditching her legal team last year, sat alone in her car for 20 minutes before she entered court.

A source said: "It is a harrowing process. Heather seemed very stressed. There are fears she is starting to crack under the pressure."

Heather - who celebrated her 40th birthday last month - was seen frantically whispering to her sister Fiona and her personal trainer Ben Amigoni during breaks in the hearing.

In contrast, Paul - worth an estimated $1.6bn - emerged from the hearing smiling and waving to fans as he chatted to his lawyer Fiona Shackleton.

Today is set to be the final day of the scheduled time allotted to the case. It could continue into Monday if Judge Mr. Justice Bennett believes it would be helpful.

Heather, who is planning to flee the UK as soon as the divorce battle reaches a conclusion, is reportedly demanding a $120 million cash pay out, along with at least two homes, two nannies, medical cover, a personal trainer, household staff and a secretary.

She claims marrying Paul destroyed her life and she has become the victim of a vicious hate campaign by Beatles fans.

The pair split in 2006 after four years of marriage. Heather was Paul's second wife. His first wife, Linda, died in 1998.
