Kylie Minogue has sold millions of records worldwide - and has lifestyle to match - but the Australian pop princess - who's set to release her own range of bed linen later this month, didn't always live the life of luxury.
"As a child, my family didn’t have anything fancy, just the basics," she said. "When Mum and Dad bought a heater when I was little and Brendan [her brother] was born, it was a big deal! Over the years we gathered some nice pieces, and they were always saved 'for best'.
On sharing a bedroom with her younger sister Dannii, the '2 Hearts' singer, 39, said: "We didn’t have a dividing line, but had our moments… We’re sisters, it’s part of the job description!
"At one stage our bedrooms had interconnecting wardrobes, which was the source of a few disputes! As a teen, my room had blue flock wallpaper, which is how it was when my family bought the house.
On having a lovely home environment, the Aussie pop princess - who was speaking to British magazine Woman & Home for its March issue, said: "I consider myself really lucky to be able to visit so many parts of the world, but after all of that I love to come home. I appreciate my own space and the world I create for myself, my family and friends."
