Atonement stars Keira Knightley and James McAvoy may have been snubbed by the Oscars this year - but British film fans have not let them down. They pair - Keira, 22, and James, 28, have been nominated for best actress and actor in the 2008 Sony Ericsson Empire Awards.
Keira will be up against Harry Potter's Emma Watson, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett and Katherine Heigl.
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, 18, has also been nominated for best actor with Matt Damon in The Bourne Ultimatum, Simon Pegg in Hot Fuzz and Gerard Butler in 300.
