Kathleen Turner wants to find love

Kathleen TurnerBody Heat star Kathleen Turner wants to find love - because she misses sex.

The 53-year-old actress confessed she had not had sex in two years, since she split from her husband. "My husband and I separated two years ago and I guess the divorce became final in December," she told US talk show host Larry King.

"It's odd - well, maybe it's not odd - but we're terrific friends. We have lunch together and he's still my best friend. But it's also been two years since I've had sex and I'm getting to miss that."

Turner told King that she "wouldn't mind" a relationship if she found the right person. She said she had not yet met anyone, since her husband, that she liked enough to sleep with. "It just hasn't really sparked me. It hasn't come up," she said.

The actress said that while she is known for her sexy movie roles, real life is very different. "Actually there are only two guys I've ever been with," she revealed. "It's hard for people to believe I'm so na?ive or inexperienced.

"I met my husband and that was that."

Turner said she pitied young celebrities, such as Britney Spears, who constantly live their lives in the media spotlight. "I think their lives must be awful. I think they must have no private time, no safe place for themselves - inside or out," she said.

"I feel sorry for her."

Turner also spoke about being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1992 and beating the disease into reemission. "When I was finally diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis it was before the last seven years in which we've developed extraordinary medications, which have kept me in remission," she said.

"At that time the medications were almost as dangerous as the disease. So I was feeling very hopeless about being able to go on with my passion - my acting.

"They told me I was going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life and I was darned if I was going to accept anything like that."

The actress revealed she turned to booze, rather than prescribed pills, as a pain reliever. "After several years of this chronic pain, I discovered that alcohol helped kill pain," she admitted. "For some obscure reason I didn't want to take painkillers because I thought they'd mess up my mind.

"Then it got out of control and I couldn't control it."

In November 2002, Turner checked herself into rehab and beat her alcoholism.
