Kanye West plans to pay an emotional tribute to his late mother at the Grammy Awards.
The rapper is nominated for eight gongs - including album of the year and rap album of the year for Graduation.
He has not been officially announced as a performer for the Sunday [February 10] awards show. But insiders claim the 30-year-old has been secretly rehearsing for the show, to be held at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
A source told US magazine People: "West has a rehearsal on Thursday afternoon, performing a moving medley of his hits Stronger and Hey Mama."
West's mother Donda died of heart disease in November, a day after having cosmetic surgery. She was 58-years-old.
Tina Turner and Beyonce have just been announced as performers at the the 50th Grammy show.
