Britney Spears’ pal Sam Lutfi served with temporary restraining order

Sam Lutfi and Britney SpearsBritney Spears' pal and self-proclaimed "manager" Sam Lutfi was served with a temporary restraining order Thursday - and ordered to keep away from the troubled pop princess, court papers say.

The order was sought by Jamie Spears and an attorney - Britney's co-conservators, who allege that Lutfi had avoided being served for three weeks.

The restraining order, forbidding Osama Lutfi from getting within 250 yards of Britney, her homes and her family's homes, alleges: "Mr. Lutfi has drugged Britney. He has cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone chargers. He claims to control everything."

Lutfi was served at 11 a.m. as he left his Los Angeles apartment, say the papers filed by Jamie Spears.

At the time the restraining order was sought, Spears' parents - Jamie and Lynne, had been locked in a power struggle with Lufti, who had been her constant companion as her behavior became increasingly bizarre.

Meanwhile, police have insisted they are not investigating claims Britney Spears was drugged by Lutfi, despite reports robbery and homicide officers are on the case.

Several US websites reported an investigation is "well underway" and has been assigned to Robbery Homicide because of the sensitive nature of the allegations.

But LAPD Media Relations representative Richard French dismissed the stories. He said: "There is no investigation into Sam allegedly medicating Britney."

Officer Jason Lee also rubbished the claims on behalf of the media department, saying: "Who would you believe? The LAPD or internet reports."

Website reported sources say investigators have interviewed several witnesses about the drugs found in Britney's system when she was recently committed.

It said the investigation was temporarily held up by the death of an LAPD SWAT officer but is now "back on track".

Lutfi's spokesman Michael Sands slammed the "bogus stories".
