Bai Ling is the latest Hollywood celebrity to be arrested for allegedly stealing two magazines. And the actress has posted a photo of herself at the scene of the alleged crime on her website moments before it happened. According to reports in the US, the actress was supposedly caught shoplifting two celebrity magazines and a packet of batteries from a shop in Los Angeles International Airport.
Police sources say that Ling, 37, walked into the store at 4.30 pm on Wednesday February 13, later walking out with $16 worth of goods she allegedly didn't pay for. A shop assistant placed her under citizen's arrest.
Witnesses say Ling was "cooperative and crying" when airport police took her to the station. She was booked for theft but a court date has yet to be set.
The picture posted on her web site was taken at what appears to be the flight checking-in desk before her arrest. The actress sent it using her BlackBerry phone.
