Rapper 50 is aiming to make it serious in Hollywood with gangland film 'Righteous Kill' alongside De Niro and fellow Hollywood legend Al Pacino. And De Niro, for one, thinks he has what it takes. "Curtis, he's very smart, so he's got good instincts," the actor said.
50 Cent says De Niro is his acting hero. "I grew up watching his movies," he said.
He also said being with the star also brings him down to earth. "His celebrity is so strong that I get a chance to feel like a normal person for a little bit," 50 said. "People get nervous around him."
The stars posed for two covers for Vibe magazine - one in which they look menacing, another joking around and friendly.
The magazine used the headline 'Now That's Gangster', noting that De Niro has made his name as the world's most famous on-screen gangster while 50 Cent is arguably the biggest star in gangster rap history.
Despite their menacing reputations, Vibe Editor-in-Chief Danyel Smith there was "a lot of laughter" during the photoshoot. "They had jokes, and they looked amazing together," she added.
