2008 Bafta Film Awards: The winners

Keira KnightleyBelow are the winners of the 2008 Bafta Film Awards - which were held at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London earlier this evening.

The ceremony took on increased importance this year, after a writers' strike in the US reduced the Golden Globes, traditionally the second-biggest film awards after the Oscars to a mere news conference.

Sylvester Stallone, Cuba Gooding Jr, Jeff Goldblum and Kevin Spacey were among the Hollywood stars to present awards.
