Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie's mother has denied reports her daughter is pregnant. The London Bridge star set tongues wagging at the Grammy Awards when her dress appeared to show a baby bump. And insiders claimed she is moving forward with her planned wedding to actor fiance? Josh Duhamel so they are married when the child is born.
But earlier today, her mum Terri Ferguson called a Los Angeles radio station to set the record straight.
Asked about the rumors, she told KIIS FM host Ryan Seacrest: "Nope, not at all."
She continued: "Did you see her at the Grammys?"
She described Fergie, 32, as "skinny, skinny, skinny."
She added: "We are not moving up the wedding.
"[They] haven't met with a wedding planner yet."
When asked what might have sparked the reports, she told Seacrest: "I think people can't believe people do get married just because they love each other, not because they are pregnant."
And asked if she expected to become a grandmother soon, she said: "Not soon, soon.
"A couple years. They are newly engaged, Let them plan the wedding and all that."
A source had told a US newspaper that Fergie had bought a wedding dress while in New York. And at a pre-Grammys bash at Los Angeles hotel the Beverly Hilton on Sunday hosted by famed music producer Clive Davis she was said to have avoided booze.
One party-goer said: "At Clive's, she just drank water."
Fergie - real name Stacy Ferguson - has been dating Transformers star Duhamel, 35, since September 2004.
She has previously spoken of her desire to settle down and start a family. She said in the past: "It is one of my dreams to have babies with Josh. It will be so special when it happens."
