Amy Winehouse’s husband begs her not to divorce him

Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse's incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil has sensationally disowned his family - and written the troubled singer an anguished letter pleading with her not to divorce him.

Blake Fielder-Civil tearfully handed the note to Amy in a bid to save their marriage during a prison visit last week.

But Amy - accompanied by her dad, Mitch, broke down in tears as she read the letter Blake handed to her.

Over two handwritten pages Blake - who's locked up in London's Pentonvile prison  for allegedly perverting the course of justice and assault - admitted what he had told his mother, pleaded with Amy not to leave him—and vowed to turn his back on his family. Blake, 25, wrote:

"Baby, oh darling. Please don't leave me Amy. I'm so worried that now you're thinking straight you'll realise I'm not worthy of you. Oh God, please don't leave me. I'll do anything to show you my heart and loyalty is with you.

"I did tell my mum how you fell asleep on visits and although sometimes I think your dad hurts me unnecessarily I love him and respect him.

"Me and my family are finished for good. No visits, phone calls, nothing.

"I love my new family and can't wait to show them I'm not just a f****** loser and that I can look after their daughter. That's if you can find it in your heart to trust me.

"Your my family now, if you'll all have me. Pls don't leave me Amy, Pls. I love you so much, Blake xxx."

Amy's dad, Mitch, 57, said: "Amy was furious with Georgette's attack—but Blake's letter left her in tears.

"She asks you to publish it to show how determined they are to beat drugs and save their marriage and their lives.

Mitch told how Amy was struggling to stay in rehab at the Edward House clinic in London—and tried to quit earlier this week.

"Amy has been through cold turkey but the worst's over," he said. "She had a wobble on Tuesday and wanted to leave.

"She'd started to feel better and thought, ‘What the hell am I doing here?' That's the danger period.

"The staff called me in and we spent time together. It was like she was a little baby and had started packing.

"I sat with her all night. We both cried a lot and Amy agreed to stay."

Worried Mitch also revealed how he once planned to have his daughter sectioned under the Mental Health Act to try to save her from drugs.

He added to Britain's News of The World newspaper: "I was so concerned for Amy's life I looked at the possibility. She was killing herself— but I now think rehab has been the best thing for her."
