Courteney Cox’s ‘Dirt’ premieres in the US

Courteney CoxCourteney Cox is dishing the 'Dirt' on real-life celebrities.

The second series of Dirt - which stars Cox as tabloid editor Lucy Spiller - premiered across the U.S. last night. It gave a sneak peak at storylines that will give cause for concern for some real life Hollywood stars.

The troubles of Britney Spears, Madonna, Paris Hilton and Anna Nicole Smith will all be featured. But Cox isn't afraid of ripping into herself either.

The first episode included one unflattering shot of the former Friends star getting a painful-looking bikini wax at the beauticians.

Cox - who is the executive producer of the show - has changed the format by agreeing to use real-life celebrity storylines that are thinly veiled as fiction.

A rich heiress arrested for drunk driving is called 'Milan Carlton' instead of Paris Hilton. And a pop star that cuts off all of her hair while starting a romantic relationship with a paparazzi is called Sharlee Cates instead of Britney Spears.

Rosanna Arquette, Cox's sister in law, will play a Madonna-like character who gives Sharlee a lesbian lip lock at a music awards show.
