Bai Ling pleads guilty to disturbing the peace

Bai LingChinese actress Bai Ling has plead guilty to disturbing the peace after being arrested on shoplifting charges at Los Angeles Airport.

The star was arrested February 13 on suspicion of stealing two magazines and a package of batteries from a gift shop.

Ling plead guilty to a lesser charge of disturbing the peace and was ordered to pay a $200 fine, according to Frank Mateljan of the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office.

Ling was detained by an employee of the gift shop inside a departures terminal before being arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department.

She was booked on suspicion of shoplifting three items that valued a total of $16. She was released the following day.

Born in China, Ling acted in a number of films before immigrating to the United States in 1991. Since then, she has appeared in numerous movies, including The Crow, Wild Wild West, and Anna and the King.
