Teen sensation Miley Cyrus says she's proud of how fellow actress Jamie Lynn Spears is handling her controversial teen pregnancy. "We've actually been talking," the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star said at the Official Grammy Talent Gift Lounge in Los Angeles over the weekend.
"She's now really excited, so I'm proud of her," Cyrus tells Us Weekly magazine of the 'Zoey 101 star.
"I think she's done the best she can," Cyrus added.
Jamie Lynn, 16, made a rare appearance in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana on Friday with her boyfriend Casey Aldridge, the father of her baby.
Meanwhile, Cyrus - daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus - has been criticized for not wearing a seatbelt after she was caught on camera riding in the back seat of a Range Rover - neglecting to buckle up.
According Consumer Reports, 65 percent of the 13- to 15-year-olds killed in auto accidents in 2006 were not wearing seat belts.
"It seems to us that Miley, her father and Disney had a perfect opportunity to help influence teens and counteract - rather than encourage - this trend," a blog item says.
