Pop wreck Britney Spears has reportedly been released from a psychiatric ward after just a week of treatment. The LA Times is reporting that Spears has already left the UCLA Medical Centre on Wednesday morning.
However neither the hospital or Britney's parents Jamie and Lynne Spears have confirmed that she had been released. None of the waiting press outside UCLA's several exits saw her leave either.
And the report comes just three days after her 72 evaluation period was extended by a further 14 days.
The LA Times claims that the singer slipped out of the ward with 'relatively little fanfare'.
The paper in a report on their website claimed: "It was unclear where she was going, but sources said she might head to one of her homes before seeking additional treatment.
"A private security detail escorted her in contrast to last week when more than a dozen Los Angeles police officers escorted Spears to the hospital via motorcade."
If Britney has been released, the move comes just a day after it was revealed her mother Lynne had accused her 'manager' Sam Lutfi of drugging her.
In papers filed to get a restraining order against Lutfi, Lynne claimed he had exerted near-total control over the singer, cutting her phone lines, taking away her cellphone chargers, disabling her vehicles and grinding up pills to place in her food.
