Sean Connery and neighbour ordered to stop suing each other

Sean ConneryJames Bond star Sir. Sean Connery and his warring New York neighbour have been told to end their legal sparring

The 007 legend and Dr. Burton Sultan are embroiled in a high-profile spat over renovations at their shared Upper East Side townhouse.

Now the pair have been rebuked by a frustrated judge and told to bring an end to their quarrel, according to U.S reports.

"Regrettably, both parties to this dispute have engaged in a 'slash and burn' litigation strategy that has at times been duplicative and exceedingly burdensome to their adversaries and the courts," Supreme Court Justice Marcy Friedman wrote in her latest ruling the case.

She also criticized Connery for his blunderbuss' legal attacks on the eye doctor.

But she also fined Sultan $1,000 for repeated filing of lawsuits on issues she had already ruled against him on. It is the latest twist in a bitter saga between the two men, which has repeatedly made the headlines.

In 2005 Sultan filed a lawsuit that branded Connery an 'ogre' and a 'foulmouthed, fat old man' who blasted loud music at 'all hours.'

Multiple lawsuits by Sultan claim that roof renovations at the townhouse on swanky East 71st Street, resulted in bad odors and rats, that forced the doctor, his wife and daughter out of their apartment.

Sir Sean has also not held back, filing his own counter lawsuits in different New York courts. Now the judge has urged the pair to try and resolve their differences, without the intervention of the court.
