Hollywood star Nicolas Cage has been forced to take his Bel Air mansion off the market after buyers refused to meet the whopping $35 million asking price.
The National Treasure actor put the 11,000-square-foot Tudor-style home up for sale more than a year ago.
Cage stood to make a huge profit after buying it for $7 million in 1988.
US reports say he had refused to lower the huge price tag, even though there were no takers.
The sprawling mansion has seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a front-yard fountain and an Olympic-sized swimming pool. It also boasts a library, a custom built wine cellar and a state-of-the-art security system. Previous owners include singer Tom Jones and late crooner Dean Martin.
Cage, who won a best actor Oscar for 'Leaving Las Vegas', owns a string of properties around the world. They reportedly include a castle in Bavaria and a private island in the Bahamas.
