Top Gear star Richard Hammond is moving into a luxury mansion in a town dubbed 'Britain’s Beverly Hills' - for a cool £6 million.
Hammond, along with his wife Mindy and their two daughters are moving from their six-bedroom rented manor house in Gloucestershire to set up home in the exclusive Beaconsfield, Bucks.
Hammond - affectionately known as Hamster will have the likes of Cilla Black, Tess Daly, Vernon Kay, Des O’Connor and Barry Gibb as neighbors.
37-year-old Mindy - who married Richard in 2002, told British newspaper The Sun, that the couple made the decision to relocate so that Richard could be nearer London for work. "Richard was away a lot filming with Top Gear and having meetings in London," she said.
“We’ve been looking for a while because we had specific needs. We needed somewhere big enough for my horses and Richard’s cars – but which was also near London.”
Richard - who, in September 20, 2006, was seriously injured in a car crash while filming for Top Gear, has a collection of cars, including a plush Porsche 911, a Morgan and two Land Rovers.
Richard and Mindy had been renting a home in Bromsberrow, Gloucs, since the beginning of last year when they sold their family home in the same county for £650,000.
He is being lined up for several TV projects this year including a chat show for Channel 4 that may replace Richard and Judy in the Autumn.
