Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly welcomed twins into the world, via surrogate, a couple of weeks ago. However, their overwhelming joy was almost immediately overshadowed by the possibility of tragedy.
It seems the pros over at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidentally gave the twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, 10,000 units of an anti-coagulant called heparin via IV. Usually newborns are given 10 units.
