Icelandic singer Bjork has been accused of attacking a photographer in New Zealand, it has been reported. The "It's Oh So Quiet" star, 42, - who is due to perform at Auckland's Big Day Out festival on Friday, tore photographer Glenn Jeffrey's shirt in half, after he snapped her arriving at the airport early on Sunday.
Jeffrey, a news photographer of 25 years, claims that Bjork was accompanied by a man who asked him not take photos.
"I took a couple of pictures and as I turned and walked away she came up behind me, grabbed the back of my black skivvy and tore it," he said.
"As she did this she fell over, she fell to the ground," he said. "At no stage did I touch her or speak with her."
The singer said nothing during the incident, but her male acquaintance was saying: "B, don't do this, B, don't do this," Jeffrey - a photographer for the New Zealand Herald added.
Jeffrey said he spoke with Auckland police about the incident later on Sunday.
A representative for Auckland International Airport said staff would look at CCTV footage of the arrival area where the alleged attack occurred if police request it.
